The game, on it's own is quite charming. I was never a noir fan, but my Mother had somewhat of an affinity, so I was forced to watch them as a child. This brought back many memories. The story was well written, excellently executed, and engaging from beginning to end. Graphics are good, but not top notch, although the style fits the game. As a fan of most type of RPGs, this is highly recommended. Conversely, the port to the PC was horrible. Fortunately the game is so awesome it overshadows the technical problems of the game. Your character has a turn radius worse than you car. Driving is horrible. Going the same speed, in the same car, one slight tap of the key sends you flying sideways and a tap in the same direction again when you need it doesn't even cause the vehicle to shudder. Movement is haphazard and stuttered. At times it's so ergonomic it's sick and others you walk into walls over and over again. Other technical glitches are present and seem not to have been resolved my Rockstar, but I'm sure if I did a search, I could find a fan made patch that takes care of all of them. Even with all the bad, the game is so well crafted it still gets an 8. I'm sure if I had a gamepad, I would have had an easier time of things, but as it stands it is a 10 that suffered from extensive glitch and port problems that have yet to be resolved (12-10-13), hitting it for 2 points.
