Game was great back a few years ago when I played it but on gamefly and my pc it is extremely choppy. That is too bad too because I was really looking forward to a walk down memory lane.

I loved the game back when it first came out, but it seems that I can't use hardware acceleration on our latest and greatest systems and so the game is extremely choppy. You really have to dumb the settings down to be able to play the game at an acceptable frame rate. Not worth the time at the moment.

I was expecting something entirely different, but this game is pretty epic. Ironically, it seems to be harder when it says it's easier, due to the lack of ships equaling lack of plunder >.>

I love Tropico. One of the best games ever. A replayabaility matched only by Sid Meier's Civilization. However this is an extremely poor port. A high end machine with Win 7 results in a game so choppy at the beginning (where graphics are easy) that it looks like one of the old 4fps webcams. Direct game I was able to pull off smooth scrolling with a machine running ME. what a waste of something wonderful. Great game get it on disc, not this attempt at a port to gamefly.

2 stars because it does work. It just does it so badly you don't want to use it.
